Alex Megos writes climbing history on 24th March 2013. The at that time 20-year-old climbing star was the first climber ever to manage a route with difficulty level 9a (IX) onsight, right at the first attempt. This success, in the supreme discipline of sport climbing, allows the youngster to ascend to the climbing Olympus with one blow. Since that moment he is one of the greats in climbing.
Born in Franconia (Bavaria), he turned his hobby into his profession. Through consistent training and even more discipline, the 24-year-old went steadily uphill. With his exciting talk "Alex on the road", Megos takes his listeners on a journey through countless vertical meters, steep routes and untouched natural landscapes - his world.
Together with another Bavarian top duo, Christian Neureuther and his wife Rosi Mittermaier, Alex Megos will inspire the audience at the IMS on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
