In her new talk "In rock and ice" to be launched in autumn of 2011, Ines Papert (37) takes her audience into the world of her adventures. In a richly illustrated multimedia show, the professional mountaineer and 4-time world champion speaks about her summit conquests and painful failures, her close freindship with fellow team members and fellow travellers, privations and love of life, solitude and moments of happiness.
The stories of her latest expeditions serve as a starting point for giving an emotional insight into the life of professional mountaineers. Her audience learns a lot about passion and calling as well as about ethics and tradition. The single mother also explains how she copes with her responsibility to her 11-year-old son Emanuel and with the dangers she faces on the mountains.
