Snow Leopard
Snow Leopard was the name of an award given to Soviet mountaineers who, during the course of their career, managed to climb all five of the former Soviet Union's 7000 m peaks in the Pamir and Tian Shan ranges. In just one season, Simone Moro, Denis Urubko and Andrey Molotov made their dream come true and followed in the footsteps of the Soviet Snow Leopards.

Italian-born climber and an outstanding representative of the young extreme mountain climber generation. However, success is not the only thing that counts for the friendly all-round-Alpinist: in 2001, he interrupted his attempt at Lhotse at over 8000 meters in order to save a young British mountain climber. Moro’s show of solidarity was exemplary and won him numerous commendations, for example the UNESCO »Fair Play Pierre de Coubertin« Trophy.
