Beyond the 14 Eight-thousanders
Silvio Mondinelli, also known as Gnaro, made of the mountain his muse. Fourteen are the eightthousander he climbed, beneath them also two times the Mount Everest, all without oxygen. Any new experience is an apprenticeship and a further incentive for his social engagement, which brought to many successes.

Silvio Mondinelli (known as Gnaro) is not only known for climbing all 14 of the world’s highest mountains without supplementary oxygen. He also excels for many extra-European rescue operations. To him, helping a mountaineer in trouble was often more important than reaching the summit.
