Prof. Dr. phil. Siegbert A. Warwitz is an expert in experimental psychology and scientist in the field of risk. He obtained the officer’s commission in the german army, was studying at the universities of Münster, Innsbruck, Tübingen and Wien german philology, science of sports, psychology and pedagogics. He graduated with the subject correlations of physical and intellectual capacies for a doctor of philosophy, got an order for scientific research by the University of Wien, was teaching a couple of years at a high school in Ravensburg and finaly got a call for research and teaching to the University of Education in Karlsruhe. He likes exploring wilderness areas, (moderate) mountaineering and several kinds of aviation. 'In the field of risk research and sports at the limits he especially is engaged in the problem of significance and responsibility even those of kids. In consequence of his empirical explorations and social criticism he is thoroughly convinced of the importance of learning risk managing for the personal and social development. He created a theory of venture adjusted to value thinking, based on a systematic education in venture.
