
THE rock climber - Jerry Moffatt
In the early 80ies, Jerry Moffatt was one of the best if not THE sport climber worldwide. After numerous ectreme Trad-first ascents the british climber dedicated to sports climbing and bouldering. He dominated the competition climbing for a while. Moffatt lived together with Kurt Albert and Wolfgang Güllich, did bouldering with Ron Kauk and John Bachar, worked out with Ben Moon, climbed with Jean-Baptiste Tribout and the Menestrel brothers. He climbed the most difficult tracks and pioneered new routes.
Fiercely ambitious since his childhood
„Revelations“ - Moffatts autobiography came out in spring 2010. He composed it together with Niall Grimes. Moffatt tells his life as climbing addict. Since very early age, from the moment he became hooked on climbing, he knew the only thing he ever wanted to do was hang around at crags and climb all the time: he did everything he could to become the world’s best climber. He knew I’m going to be a crag rat.’.
