The IMS 2009 lies behind us.
Following is a backpack full of experiences, conversations, impressions and unique encounters. Over 8500 people attended the IMS, coming to life to make the premiere of a mountain platform.
The IMS has lived through the many climbers, speakers, journalists and visitors; this event has become a major gathering for friends.
There were many highlights: Sold-out auditoriums, talking until well after midnight, the unique stories of the top climbers, the delicacies of the caterer, the enthusiasm of the young crowds in the Boulder Area, the snow, hiking and much more.
We thank all who have supported us in this project. Led by the South Tyrolean regional government and Luis Durnwalder; a special thank you is in order to the Provincial Hans Berger, who believed in our idea and our commitment from the start. A great thank you as well, to the many sponsors and partners who had invested from the beginning of this “expedition” an will furthermore support for future times.
Furthermore, we thank the Mayor Albert Pürgstaller, who brought the IMS to the city of Bressanone. We look forward to continue working with the municipality of Bressanone in the implementation of this event in the future.
Reinhold Messner was a magnificent consultant throughout this event. It reassured and motivated us to have the best-known climber in the world by our side. Thank you dear, Reinhold Messner that you have gone this route with us and will hopefully continue to do so in the future.
The IMS Summit has brought many wonderful experiences and surprises which will be relived throughout the year at our next meeting 02-07 November 2010.
We look forward to our future.
